GLASSPEC’s molded fiberglass Patient Decontamination table top will be available on July10th, 2007. It is designed to be used in conjunction with a gurney or custom folding cart. A high density poly-ethylene backboard and a waste water container are included.
The Decontamination table is intended to be used as a platform to provide emergency medical treatment to ambulatory as well as non-ambulatory patients, regardless of the nature of the contamination, chemical, biological, hazardous materials, radiological or burns, while containing, collecting and providing the means to remove the contaminants. Additional backboards and containers can be purchased separately.
Fiberglass allows us to mold this unit in one seamless piece, with rounded corners and edges, it will not rot or rust, it is lightweight, will not harbor blood borne pathogens or absorb body fluids, it is easily sanitized with most common detergents. Both the fiberglass table and the plastic backboard are translucent to x-ray and allow defibrillation to take place, without the need to move the patient.
The table is light gray and the backboard is blue in color. They are portable and can be use indoors or outdoors, attaching to the gurney or cart using automotive type safety belts, that are permanently attached to the table. These can also be used to hold them while in storage in the vertical position.
Proudly manufactured in the U.S.A. using American labor and materials.
